This is a website decicated to PAL RALLYING Rally Team. This is made up of father and son duo
Peter And Liam Butler (hence PAL Rallying). They are also helped along the way by friends and family.
Pete and Liam started on their rallying path in 2006/7 by spectating on various rallies in their local area. This moved on to marshalling when the pair joined the Dukeries Motor Club. The family pairing carried on marshalling under the DMC banner until June 2008 when they both got the chance to compete on their local event the Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally. This was a good introduction to rallying with Pete taking 3rd in Class B11 and Liam taking 1st in Class 1.4C, both as co-drivers for other DMC members. This sparked off their interest in competing and very soon afterwards the pair started to compete as a team.
PAL Rallying first competed together in July 2008, in the Peugeot 106 pictured on the right, they managed to finish the event and not finish last The pairing then competed on 3 more events in 2008 including returning to Sherwood Forest for the Premier Rally. Pete and Liam also managed to pick up some silverware in the DMC stage rally championship.
In 2009 Pete and Liam decided to compete in the BTRDA Championship in their Rally First spec Peugeot
106 Rallye.
This had varying degrees of sucess with two retirments from four starts in championship qualifying events.
Before Pete and Liam could continue their campaign, Liam's employment became a victim of the poor economical climate and he was made redundant. This lead to the PAL Rallying faithful steed being sold due to lack of funds.
With Liam getting another job, PAL Rallying then bought a 1600 Vauxhall Nova which needed some serious TLC. The aim for this car was to fully strip it down and rebuild it with an improved specification, ready for the 2010 season. What happenned after this can be found on various pages of this website.
PAL Rallying have also managed to win more awards in various local championships, (again information of this can be found on various pages of our website).
In 2012, PAL Rallying will be competing in the EMAMC and ANEMMC Championships, in addition to competing in selected rounds of the Dukeries Motor Club Championship.
So please take a look around the website to find more information about PAL Rallying members and the supporters of the team, and DONT FORGET TO CHECK THE UPDATES SECTION AND LEAVE A COMMENT IN THE GUESTBOOK.
